Drone Solutions for a Quieter Future

Most of the of noise from UAVs is generated by their propellers. This noise is a significant issue when operating around humans and animals, and restricts UAV use.

To solve this problem, the team at Dotterel develops award-winning, lightweight propeller shrouds comprising sound-absorbing acoustic materials and low noise propellers. These passive technologies reduce noise pollution as experienced from the ground.

Dotterel also develops on-board audio enabling technologies. These are software and hardware solutions for enhancing direct sound recording capability from the UAV.
