Mat Rowe
  • Mat RoweChief Executive Officer

    Mat, with qualifications in Chemical and Materials Engineering and Biotechnology, has helped lead a number of New Zealand’s most innovative technology companies. Prior to Dotterel, he was a member of the founding team at international biofuels leader, LanzaTech.

    As its Global R&D Operations Director, he led its establishment in the United States and multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to deliver on aggressive milestones in locations around the world.

    Mat is also former R&D Operations Manager of BioConsortia New Zealand.

  • Shaun EdlinChief Operating Officer

    Shaun has spent most of his professional life working on commercialising technology, notably as part of the commercial team at renowned biofuels company,                  LanzaTech, He has also helped innovative young companies raise capital through online investment platform, Snowball Effect.

    Shaun is passionate about emerging technology and seeing New Zealanders take their innovation to the world.

  • Shaun PentecostProject and Electrical Lead

    Shaun leads our project management, electronics and electrical development.

    A working background of industrial electronics servicing and problem solving led to the opportunity to work at LanzaTech, where he gained diverse experience and project management skills. These are now applied at Dotterel heading our project, electrical and code base development of proprietary active noise filtering solutions.

    Shaun is passionate about the drone industry and the growing number of commercial applications for drones.

Seamus Rowe
  • Seamus RoweMechatronics Lead

    Seamus is an mechatronics engineer whose skills range from automation, programming and CAD design through to UAV piloting. In 2014 Seamus was runner up in the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand, Auckland Branch, GT Murray Memorial Award, for his presentation on Engineering Research and Design for robotics.

    In 2015, he coached the Manukau Institute of Technology robotics team for the National Instruments Autonomous Robotics Competition.

    Working at LanzaTech gained him exposure to wide ranging projects from programming to instrumentation installations and laboratory automation.
